Welcome to the Purple Cloud, I'm Oscar.
A few years ago, I learned that two of my cousins were diagnosed on the spectrum as children. Seeing how much timely, effective support could shape a life pulled me toward this field.
Since then, I’ve been following on one question: what actually helps people feel steadier, safer, and more connected?
My path has taken me from psychology training at NYU to research on social perception and identity, and into supervised clinical work in both psychiatric hospitals and outpatient care. I’m currently completing the Professional Counseling program (LPC track) at the University of Pennsylvania and training in outpatient counseling—supporting adolescents and young adults with mood and anxiety concerns, trauma and other complex needs. I also stay involved in the clinical community through conferences and ongoing learning.
In short, this site is a snapshot of where I’ve been, where I am now, and the work I’m building along the way.
"I have a special feeling for the color purple because it doesn't have a clear place on the spectrum like the others. It doesn't truly exist in the physical world; it's a blend and an illusion in our vision. This unreality brings me a unique sense of security, reminding me of dreams and fantasies—a space that transcends reality.
To me, 'The Purple Cloud' symbolizes a sanctuary of the mind, a place where I can embrace and confront all my emotions and thoughts, both light and dark. In the future, I hope 'The Purple Cloud ' won't just belong to me, but become a refuge for many others, where everyone who encounters it can find their own cloud to rest upon."
